A little bit about Nicola

“Every voiceover job, to me, is an opportunity to take someone on a new, immersive adventure.”

With a degree and background in Theater, Nicola Fordwood discovered her love of voiceover while working in the corporate world as a Creative Project Manager. What started as a creative outlet quickly turned into a full-time career. Nicola finally found a world where her inner theater geek could shine and the project manager side of her brain could keep track of due dates, deliverables and effectively communicate with clients. 

Nicola’s voice has a genuine and relatable sound. She brings an approachable, confident yet conversational tone to her reads and greets character work with great enthusiasm. Nicola’s versatile voice can be the friendly girl-next-door, a socially-savvy corporate professional, a warmhearted new mom, a trusted & fun-loving best friend or a recent college grad. For video games or animation, Nicola’s voice ranges from a small exuberant child, to a snarky, know-it-all teenager to a resilient young adult and even a malfunctioning robot mom with a few sinister characters in between.

With every project Nicola brings her strong work ethic, collaborative spirit and a professional attitude.  She cares about creating partnerships with her clients, clearly communicating with them throughout each stage of the project and delivering a solid final product. 

With the strong belief of paying it forward, please contact Nicola if you are an animal welfare group or animal rescue nonprofit that could benefit from her voiceover services. She is open to doing pro bono work or working at reduced rates to help animals in need.

Nicola lives in San Francisco and when she’s not in her booth recording, you will find her hiking the coastal trails with her two rescue dogs, reading sci-fi novels or watching Karl the Fog sweep over the city by the Bay.
